This is what I look like walking off to face my destiny. This is also what I look like walking to a bathroom at the end of a pier.

Jeff Siegel

I was born in a region of Connecticut known for producing some of the world's finest copywriters. Like my father before me, and his father before him, I began my copywriting apprenticeship at an early age. At the age of 2, I described my pacifier as "uniquely satisfying". By 3, I had stopped asking for milk, instead insisting my "baba" be filled with "nectar of the Holstein". On the eve of my 6th birthday, I was sent to Europe to study with the true masters. I spent day and night with them, soaking up every bit of knowledge they'd pass on to me during our now-legendary concepting sessions. Word of my skills traveled quickly, and by the age of 10, I found myself touring the world, writing copy for the Bolshoi, The Royal Opera House and several regional credit unions. In my teen years, I was offered a full copywriting scholarship to Julliard and I nearly accepted. But at the last minute, decided to accept a partial scholarship to the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. In the days since graduation, I've continued on the journey I began all those years ago: matriculating into the coveted role of creative director, pitching and running business, and taking those who, like myself, possess "the passion" under my wing and helping to mold them into the next generation of master craftspeople. As my role continues to evolve, I take time to relish every experience, down to the smallest social media execution. Because every project, every new business win, and every junior I can affect in some way, is a part of the Glorious Journey–a journey that I will continue to enjoy until my Bluetooth keyboard is rendered undiscoverable.

Zambezi | LA

Group Creative Director 2019-present

Group head on TaylorMade Golf, USGA, DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket, Tennis Channel, Staples, and various projects.

I run stuff. I make stuff. I pitch stuff. But, mostly, I help younger people make better stuff.

Crispin Porter + Bogusky | Miami, LA, and hint of Boulder

VP/Creative Director, 2015-2019

Lead creative on letgo and Vonage from the pitch to the present. CD/writer on Ryder, Infiniti, American Airlines and Mission 22.

I also head up our internship program, which means I get to choose our interns, sign their timesheets, and inspire them. The timesheets are the most challenging part.

Freelance Writer | USA

2013-2015

CP+B, Huge, Leo Burnett, DDB, Others.

At one point, I bounced back and forth between DDB and Leo Burnett pitching McDonald's work against myself. The good news is I helped win the McDonald's pitch. The bad news is I also helped lose the McDonald's pitch.

Energy BBDO | Chicago

VP/ACD, 2011-2013

Lead team on Ziploc and Raid. ACD/Writer on Wrigley, Lay’s, and Quaker.

I'll always fondly remember BBDO as the place I became an expert in food storage, breath-freshening and roachicide.

Cole and Weber | Seattle

ACD/Writer, 2010-2011

Lead team on Microsoft from initial pitch. Also, co-ran International Olympic Committee and Washington’s Lottery.

Making presentations with Microsoft Office is fast. Winning money on scratch-offs is fast. Olympic athletes are really fast. My role at CW was largely helping to push the work to a better, faster place.

Publicis West | Seattle
